Senior Account Handler

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a Senior Account Handler to join our Watford team. This role sits within the Corporate division of Kerry London.

As Senior Accounts Handler, you will be required to:

  • Contribute towards the Corporate team’s achievement of Divisional forecasts, plans, programmes and budgets.
  • Maintain appropriate, regular contact with existing customers and ensure their insurance requirements continue to be met in line with service levels.
  • Adhere to Divisional processes and procedures, including TAM (etc).
  • Work closely with Account Executives and other Account Handlers where necessary, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Make certain that files, notes and other records are clear, complete, up to date and available to other staff standing during periods of absence, in order to maintain high levels of client service and accuracy of documentation.
  • Promote and maintain a high image of professionalism, competence and in this way to promote high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Cooperate and participate with other team members in ensuring that the smooth running of the office, and any housekeeping tasks, are fully accomplished.
  • Actively participate in the firm’s Performance Appraisal system by agreeing business and personal development goals on a yearly basis and participating in the quarterly review process.
  • Take a proactive role in your own development.
  • Act at all times within the FCA Principles for Business and to comply with FCA and internal procedures at all times in order to ensure the company meets it’s responsibilities in this area.
  • Understand and observe at all times the firm’s Treating Customers Fairly Policy and to encourage more junior staff to follow by example.
  • Assist the wider Division and Broking team with London Market presence and with placing via Lloyds.

Your skills and experience

  • Commercial lines broking business, MGA or insurer experience
  • Mid-market to corporate client experience
  • Educated to GCSE standard with an intermediate commercial insurance knowledge
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualified or working towards a relevant qualification
  • Results oriented working to measurable framework and achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Deliver the best outcomes for clients
  • Team player
  • Strong communication skills
  • Planning and analytical skills
  • MS Office (Acturis experience also an advantage)
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Location and Hours

You will be based at our Watford office.

The role is permanent full time, with working hours: 9-5:00pm, Monday to Friday with an hour unpaid break time.

Hybrid working is available for up to two days a week working remotely/from home.
