Joe Kelliher hosts the Next Generation fundraising dinner

Joe Kelliher, Owner and Lifetime President of Kelliher Insurance Group, hosted another successful annual Next Generation London-Irish Dinner, raising £18k for the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith. The dinner preserves the legacy of the British Irish community by providing a networking opportunity for the next generation of business leaders.

Joe’s commercial insurance broking business, Kelliher Insurance Group, has been organising annual fundraising dinners for the Irish Cultural Centre (ICC) since 2015. Over the years, the dinners have raised an impressive £50-£60,000 for the Irish Cultural Centre. Funds raised this year will be presented to the centre at a future event.

The dinner and fundraising auction were held in the prestigious Caledonian Club in Belgravia, London. The event was attended by business leaders from across the UK and the Irish Ambassador to the UK, Martin Fraser, who was the special guest of honour. Ex-professional footballer, John Salako, who played for England/Crystal Palace and TV pundit, hosted the auction.

Joe Kelliher would like to thank the Kelliher Insurance Group and Kerry London for generously purchasing tables and tickets.

Special thanks to Noel Byrne, Ardent Tide; Thomas MacCarron, Clipfine; Danny Sullivan and Tim Jackson, Danny Sullivan Group; Jerry Watts, FLR Spectron; Andy Ray, Oakside Surety, Jacqueline O’Donovan OBE, ODPR; Mick Crossan, Powerday; Gerry Rochford, Denis Nolan, Toureen Contractors; Patrick Trant, Trant Engineering and Ciara Price, VGC Group.

Joe would also like to thank the organising committee, including Danny Dwyer, Jason Lavelle, Vince Dignam, and Tara Crossan, for their tremendous efforts, which made the event a huge success.

Joe said, “The Kelliher Insurance Group’s Next Generation London-Irish Dinner has become a fantastic mentoring opportunity for first and second generation Irish community business leaders.   We aim to support London-based Irish-led companies to ensure future generations continue to drive the success of our businesses forward and preserve Irish cultural heritage.”

Peter Power-Hynes, Chairman of the Irish Cultural Centre, said: “I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Joe Kelliher for hosting the dinner and his team at Kelliher Insurance Group, the organising committee, the auctioneer and a special thank you to everyone who supported the event. The generosity and participation of everyone involved is invaluable in supporting the work of The Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith and helping to preserve and promote Irish culture for future generations.”
